Safeguarding
All Staff have a statutory duty to ensure the safety and well-being of all pupils in the school.
Designated Safeguarding Officers : Des Nunes (Lead), Phil Rickner, Ellen Gibson, Zoe Savundra
Sheringdale is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, governors and volunteers to share this commitment. We believe that our school should provide a safe, caring, positive, and stimulating environment in which pupils can learn and which promotes the social, physical and emotional wellbeing of each individual pupil.
All staff are regularly trained in Child Protection, and are fully aware of the procedures to follow if they are concerned about the wellbeing of a pupil and know who to report those concerns to.
Our Child Protection Policy is in line with the Local Authority, London Child Protection Procedures 2010 (4th edition), Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018 and Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024.
The school will raise Child Protection concerns with parents/carers at the earliest appropriate opportunity, and work in partnership with them and other agencies to improve outcomes.
