Home learning

Home learning will be handed out every Friday afternoon and is to be returned completed on a Wednesday.  This will include a list of spellings to learn.  These will be tested on Wednesday mornings. Please ensure that home learning is completed to as high a standard of presentation as is expected in their school learning.

Reading

Reading is an integral part of learning and should be encouraged both for pleasure and research. At this stage, children should be developing their confidence, reading broadly and fluently. There is a wide variety of books available at school, however if your child wishes to read a text from home, please ensure it is age appropriate. This should be a nightly activity and should be recorded in their home/school reading record.

Children are no longer asked to bring in kits, they just need to come in suitable PE clothes on their day.
